The main activity of our company is on-site repairs of helicopters at the locations and bases. The advantage of on-site repair is that helicopter owners are not required to send helicopters to the repair plants. This reduces transport costs and speeds up the overhaul. Transportation of the main units to and from the plant will be carried out in containers in order to eliminate the prohibition of airlines on the transportation of aircraft parts.
Preparation and repair procedure:
- It is necessary to sign a contract for inspecting for any defects.
- Our specialist goes to the location of the helicopter for inspecting for any defects.
- Signing a contract for the repair.
- Our specialists go to the location of the helicopter. They will disassemble the helicopter, and inspect the fuselage, including all systems and assemblies, for defects. If any transmission components (tail rotor, shaft, swashplate, intermediate gear, tail gear, main rotor hub) and power unit need major repairs, they will be sent to a certified repair plant, by sea or air.
While the overhaul of these main units is being performed, a group of specialists will continue to perform the following works:
- removing old paint;
- inspecting fuselage and systems for any defects;
- riveting jobs;
- rework and modification according to all acting bulletins;
-testing and overhauling of avionics.
After the repair, the main units will be sent back to the place of deployment/basing of the helicopter. Specialists will start assembling and painting the helicopter in accordance with the customer's schedule. After the overhaul, a test flight will be performed.
The overhaul period varies from 60 to 180 days depending on the place of deployment/basing, the condition of the helicopters (year of manufacture, total service life from the date of purchase, total service life after the last repair, etc.).
